How to resize photos for e-mail or the web (hundreds at once)
How to batch-resize phone or camera photos so they fit an e-mail or load fast on the web – without losing sharpness and without installing anything.
Phone photos often have 12–50 megapixels and several megabytes. That is unnecessarily large for e-mail or the web. ImageEdi batch processing shrinks them all at once.
Recommended sizes
- E-mail and messengers: long side 1600–2048 px, JPEG quality 80.
- Web (article content): long side 1600–1920 px, WebP quality 75–80.
- Social media: 1080 px wide (Instagram), 2048 px (Facebook).
Steps
Open batch processing and drop your photos or a whole folder. Under Size choose Long side and enter the size. Keep the Lanczos 3 algorithm and light sharpening so the smaller photos stay crisp. Under Output choose JPEG or WebP and the quality. Click Process; you get a ZIP, or in Chrome and Edge the files saved straight into a folder.
Need an exact file size?
Enable Max file size (e.g. 300 KB) – ImageEdi finds the highest quality that fits the limit for each photo.
What about privacy?
Photos are processed in your browser. By default EXIF metadata including GPS location is removed as well – useful before sharing.
